BBC may have just released the most emotional Christmas ad of the year

This could be the first one to make you shed a tear.

IF YOU HAVE any tears left after last night’s Late Late Toy Show, you best be prepared to part with them now.

This morning BBC released their Christmas ad for 2017 and it’s really lovely. A mix of CGI and stop motion, you can’t help but notice how brilliant the animation is from the very beginning.

It features a 10-year-old girl and her father.

She’s obsessed with dancing and practices constantly, while her dad works extremely hard at his job and never has a minute to spare. You can watch the short film here:

The little girl informs her dad that there’s a talent show coming up, but he’s quickly distracted by a phonecall from work.

They quickly forget about it and move on. She follows him everywhere and practices her dancing the entire time. Whether he’s in work or doing chores…

She’s always with him, practicing for her big day.

However, any time she wants to show him something, he’s just too busy.

When the big day rolls around, she panics on stage and completely freezes.

When it really matters, her father hops out of his chair and stands in the aisle, directing her on how to dance. He had been watching her dancing all along, even though he seemed too busy.

The video has gone down pretty well on Twitter.
